A program for life mastery, direction, and dreams
Drømmejakten is a holistic program designed to strengthen young people’s sense of mastery, motivation, and belief in their own abilities. Through workshops, exercises, and role models, the project helps participants identify their dreams, build confidence, and learn tools to handle both setbacks and pressure.
The concept combines research on motivation and mental health with practical methods from sports, psychology, and creative learning. Drømmejakten offers both a digital platform and in-person workshops, serving as a pedagogical supplement to schools’ work with life mastery and mental wellbeing.
By collaborating with inspiring mentors; athletes, explorers, and creative talents – participants gain real-world examples of how to set goals, hold fast, and build resilience, regardless of background or starting point.
The project aligns with the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s strategy for mental health and the WHO Mental Health Action Plan, and is built around four key pillars:
1️⃣ Dream as a driving force: Finding meaning and direction.
2️⃣ Mastery: Experiencing progress through small steps.
3️⃣ Resilience: Learning techniques to handle stress and setbacks.
4️⃣ Community: Sharing experiences and building support around personal goals.
Expected outcomes:
Increased quality of life and motivation.
Strengthened self-efficacy and confidence.
Reduced pressure and performance stress.
Improved communication and connection among peers.
Format: Drømmejakten is offered as a modular program for schools and youth organizations, adaptable across one academic year. It can be integrated into interdisciplinary subjects such as health, social studies, and natural sciences.
